Vee and Son said "I do" on a beautiful day, May 10, 2025, in charming Providence, Rhode Island. Their wedding was a vibrant Cambodian (Khmer) ceremony, filled with meaningful symbols, lively music, and stunning costume changes. Following the ceremony, a traditional church service led to an array of joyful celebrations, including the energetic Lion Dance. This dance is believed to bless the couple’s union from the start, paving the way for a harmonious life together. With loud drums, gongs, and cymbals, the dance aims to chase away any negative energies that might threaten the couple's future happiness. The cai qing (plucking the greens) ritual, known for the lion "eating" lettuce—symbolizing wealth and abundance—brought well wishes to the newlyweds and their guests as the lion spat it back into the audience. It truly was a magnificent celebration of their love and commitment.
